Dicehammer
Dicehammer began in 2017, filling a competitive void in Orange County’s Warhammer 40k scene.
While Los Angeles and San Diego boasted thriving tournament and league communities, Orange County was largely isolated from the broader Southern California competitive circuit. What started as modest 4-player RTTs at Comic Quest and a 12-player Season 1 league has since evolved into a premier event organization. Today, Dicehammer hosts:
12 RTTs annually hosted at Comic Quest
Bi-yearly Leagues with 30+ regular players
6 yearly Grand Tournaments attracting 40 to 210 attendees
A Discord community with nearly 700 members
Dicehammer continues to grow and shape the Southern California 40k landscape with a focus on community, competition, and consistency.
Nick
Nick has been playing Warhammer 40k since 1996—though he’ll be the first to admit he’s not much better at it now than when he started. He founded Dicehammer with a simple goal: to create the kind of events he’d want to attend himself—competitive, well-organized, and community-focused.
Chris
Chris started playing Warhammer 40k alongside Nick back in their Thurston Middle School days in Laguna Beach.
Since the earliest days of Dicehammer, Chris has been the ultimate behind-the-scenes force—handling terrain, judging, setup, and teardown. His steady support and dedication help make every Dicehammer event run smoothly.
